Work involves manual dollies, hand tools like hammers, pliers. A frequent challenge is operating within 12-hour rotating shifts, maintaining quality checks during high-volume production.
Compensation ranges $16.32 to $22.71 per hour. Shift is 12-hour rotating day (7 AM to 7 PM, alternating weeks). Schedule includes overtime potential based on location. Responsibilities
- Remove, flex, jog, stack printed sheets, folded signatures from press discharge
- Review signatures for smearing, register issues, bad folds, notify pressroom
- Remove folded signatures from web press, place on pallet or skid
- Adjust stacking mechanism per paper dimensions, load/unload pallets
- Convey materials from storage to work sites using carts, dollies
- Count, weigh, record units moved
- Attach tags or labels to materials, mark containers
- Stack, assemble bundles, band using machine
- Use automated equipment, operate industrial truck or hoist
- Assist press crew with make-ready, retrieve hang plates
- Perform in-process quality checks for defects
Requirements
- Able to stock, move, jog, arrange, unload, count, rotate items on press equipment
- Knowledge of automatic counters for tabulation
- Familiarity with warehouse layout, item codes, procedures
- Skill in manual dollies, carts, hand trucks, tools like hammers, pliers, strapping
