Job Description
This job processes medical claims for federal programs to help individuals receive benefits quickly and accurately. Specialists gather medical documents, verify eligibility for EEOICPA benefits, and assist claimants through filing processes using specific forms. The work ensures claimants access resources for health and wellness, reducing claim denial rates through thorough research.
CNS Cares, LLC manages claims-related services under the EEOICPA program. Serving over 60,000 claimants annually, the company specializes in energy workers' compensation cases, partnering with physicians, agencies, and claimants to process denials and new filings.
Tasks include researching claimant work history using employer records, interviewing via phone and email, entering data into tracking systems, and maintaining files with medical reports. Interactions with claimants, stakeholders, and agency representatives occur daily, using software for records management. A constraint involves handling sensitive medical terminology translations without recreational work capabilities, and attending outreach events occasionally.
Pay ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour plus bonus potential. Fully in-office role at Overland Park, KS, with a Monday-Friday schedule. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSA, 401K matching, and paid time off, along with professional development through educational opportunities.
