Job Description

Peer educators deliver health and wellness programming to students, using workshops and outreach to promote personal and academic goals. They act as role models, demonstrating ethical behavior in topics like nutrition and stress management. This position fosters student health leadership and community engagement on campus.

University of North Dakota awards degrees and conducts research in various fields, serving over 13,000 students across disciplines. The institution supports student wellness through the Wellness and Health Promotion Team. It provides training for peer educators in health topics affecting college populations.

Educators plan and assess programs on health topics, facilitating presentations in residence halls, Greek communities, and University Life classes. They assist with major events and attend required meetings to participate in staff trainings. Certification in CPR/First Aid/AED must be obtained within two weeks, using resources provided by the Wellness Center. Interactions involve working with diverse groups, like students and team supervisors, to deliver outreach initiatives.

The role pays $12.00 hourly, with eligibility for overtime, and requires 8-12 hours per week on campus with no remote options. It targets UND students only. Educators complete a criminal history background check, verify US work eligibility, and obtain CPR certification. No visa sponsorship or benefits provided.

Requirements
