University of Iowa Health Care seeks a food service supervisor for the Medical Center North Liberty to oversee general service staff performance, enforce guidelines on quality assurance records, staffing, and schedules. Supervisors complete assigned forecasting, order menu items to meet demand, and assist in food service delivery. They attend staff and assigned meetings, managing a 469,000 square foot facility with orthopedic, imaging, lab, physical therapy, pharmacy, and emergency services. Tools involve kitchen equipment for preparation and cleaning. A challenge is managing weekend rotations in a high-volume hospital setting requiring consistent enforcement of protocols.
The 50% schedule provides Saturdays and Sundays 10 am to 8:30 pm, totaling 16 hours per week. Hourly pay starts at $18.72, commensurate with experience. Responsibilities

Requirements
- High School graduation or equivalent and two years directly related food distribution experience
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience in institutional food service
