Responsibilities
- Lead and coach Supervisors to achieve optimal performance including safety, quality, productivity, yield, labor efficiency
- Establish communicate execute short and long-term production goals
- Ensure effective production planning and execution
- Monitor control downtime, yields, operational losses; analyze root causes drive corrective actions
- Partner with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime
- Ensure accurate reporting of production metrics and KPIs
- Maintain full accountability for product quality, food safety, food defense, regulatory compliance
- Lead support compliance with HACCP, SQF, USDA, internal Quality Control Programs
- Assist in development, implementation, improvement of SOPs
- Initiate lead corrective and preventive actions for nonconformities
- Ensure GMP, sanitation, food safety standards followed
- Build strong engaged accountable supervisory team through coaching, training, performance management
- Support talent development, succession planning, skills improvement
- Promote culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement
- Partner with HR on relations, performance management, engagement
- Lead participate in cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, Safety, Quality, Maintenance, HR
- Support company-wide initiatives for continuous improvement, safety culture, excellence
- Drive continuous improvement in yield, waste reduction, labor optimization, efficiency
- Utilize data, KPIs, manufacturing systems for decision-making
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in food manufacturing or protein processing
- Minimum of 5+ years supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience with portioning equipment, Multivac systems, grinders preferred
- Butcher or protein processing experience highly desirable
- Strong working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, SPC OSHA, USDA regulations
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
