Job Description

Matic builds cleaning robots that save consumers time by automating household chores. Each year, billions of hours are lost to tasks like vacuuming, laundry, and tidying, and these robots recapture that using 3D mapping, path-tracking, and semantic understanding from RGB cameras and neural networks. This contract role ensures materials flow smoothly to production lines, enabling assembly of subassemblies and components in a tight-knit facility focused on robotics.

Matic produces Wall-E-esque floor cleaning robots that work reliably in homes via on-device processing. The company started with single-purpose devices and builds toward complex capabilities, serving consumers eager for time-saving innovations.

The work involves stocking QC-passed subassemblies at Final Assembly lines to reduce operator movement, receiving incoming materials and staging themFedEx software prepares outbound shipments, and breaking down cardboard waste maintains clear pathways. Team members communicate material issues promptly to production leads and perform inventory verification. A constraint is handling physical lifting of pallets in a fast-paced environment with shifts that vary between day and evening.

The position is contract-based and held on-site at the facility. Shifts include both day and evening options for flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Stock QC-passed subassemblies and components at Final Assembly lines
  • Receive and unbox incoming subassemblies
  • Stage and feed materials to QC stations
  • Break down packaging manage cardboard and waste
  • Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
  • Monitor material levels and replenish stations
  • Communicate material issues or shortages to production leads
  • Identify opportunities to improve material flow reduce handling time or enhance safety
  • Execute data entry for material movement including issuing counting and pulling stock
  • Conduct inventory verification and cycle counting
  • Use FedEx shipment-processing software for outbound shipments
  • Perform additional duties as required to support production and operations
