Park rangers manage state park operations like maintenance and education, ensuring facilities support over 100 million annual visitors. This work protects natural resources and provides recreation. Trainees learn administration, patrols, and programs in a 36-month rotation, building skills for advancement.

TX Parks and Wildlife Department conserves habitats across 67 million acres. With over 800 parks, it promotes fishing and hunting while enforcing regulations.

Rangers perform park-related tasks including maintenance, education, fee collection, and patrols; assist in resource management and law enforcement; complete special projects, attend trainings, and comply with safety protocols. They work 40 hours weekly, possibly outdoors in adverse conditions, lifting up to 50 pounds, traveling 25% with overnight stays.
