Park rangers manage state park operations like maintenance and education, ensuring facilities support over 100 million annual visitors. This work protects natural resources and provides recreation. Rangers perform park-related tasks including maintenance, education, fee collection, and patrols; assist in resource management and law enforcement; complete special projects, attend trainings, and comply with safety protocols. They work 40 hours weekly, possibly outdoors in adverse conditions, lifting up to 50 pounds, traveling 25% with overnight stays.
