Job Description

A lead specialist manages behavioral health supports in group home settings. Professionals coordinate programs for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring consistent care through activity planning, health oversight, and staff training. This position promotes independence and community integration, heavily impacting daily living for supported individuals.

Daily responsibilities encompass assisting with personal finances, planning activities and programs, supporting behavioral needs, encouraging family involvement, overseeing education and job programs, managing health, nutrition, household tasks, creating staff schedules. During shifts, roles perform behavioral support duties, documenting care and following plans. A key challenge is balancing lead oversight with direct care, including driving and weekend availability for comprehensive program consistency.

Compensation is $26 per hour fixed wage. Location requires in-person presence, part-time or full-time with evening shifts from 2 PM to 10 PM. Schedule includes weekdays, weekends, holidays. Requirements

  • 3+ years providing behavioral health services
  • Either 1 year lead staff in residential services or 2-year degree in related field
